A little music, a little food and a whole lot of fun – September 11

From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the Henry County Courthouse grounds in historic downtown Clinton will host food booths, activities, music and a bicycle rodeo for children with a helmet giveaway courtesy of the Clinton Police Department and the Sunrise Optimists. Plus, local celebrities will race to the finish in a decidedly unique way ... May the best cyclist win! The activities are free and for one night only. Don’t miss it!
Enjoy breakfast on the Katy – September 12
As the starting point of the longest rail-trail in the country, Clinton welcomes cyclists each year from across the world who are determined to “conquer the Katy” – the Katy Trail, that is.
On September 12, the second day of the Tour of Missouri, cycling enthusiasts can get a taste of the Katy Trail – and a delicious continental breakfast – before heading to the historic downtown square by race time. Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., with the race set to begin at 11 a.m. Each participant who registers will receive a goody bag courtesy of the Clinton Convention & Visitors Bureau. The activity is free for anyone who wants to get rolling – literally – before the second stage of the Tour begins. |
